47 Club 2.jpg

This logo was done for an individual who had a common history and wanted to share it. She said she was born in 1947 and knew so many people who were born that same year. This was a boom time for families after World War II and is commonly known for its 'Baby Boom".

Anyway, she said she wanted to start a very loose-knit club and call it The 47 Club. Not really a formal club but more of a social network of friends.

I proceeded to experiment with the two numbers '4' and '7'. The result was a logo that made them a singular unit. The design was pushed and pushed until it became a mark that could even be turned upside down and still read as a '47'.

This baby boomer was very happy with her new logo as were her friends.
