This logo and logotype were designed for a hairstylist living and working in Bend, Oregon. Since a person's hairdresser is very personal and on a first name basis, it was obvious I should use the client's name, Tihanee Sue.
The "S" in Sue stuck out as a vehicle to add hair curls into the design. By making this curl (and the scissor graphic) an integral part of the logotype, two issues were solved at once. The logotype could be used with the "S" curl or once the logotype had stood the test of time, the "S" curl could stand alone as an advertising logo to clients.
