This logo was designed for an electrical contractor in Redondo Beach, CA. The business name is Adaza Electric, Inc. The owner, Wright Adaza, wanted to work his name into the logo if possible.

 

I initially started playing with the "W" and the "A". The emphasis definitely needed to be on the "A" for Adaza Electric. I went to work experimenting with an "A" for Adaza and seeing if I could somehow add a "W". I chose a typeface for the rest of the logo and in the process realized that the shape of the "A" was almost perfect for blending with a "W".

 

In the final logo, the "A" is the main focus while the "W" is visible and blends perfectly with the upper half.

 

A unique and powerful "look". The client couldn't have been happier with the result.
